Hi Scott,
Hope you are well. I am a resident of the Rancho District and just received the public notice in the mail about the initiative to demolish the Pickwick Bowl. I wanted to voice my opposition against the project because I think the bowling alley is an iconic community institution and would not want to see it replaced with more apartments. While I do think affordable housing is an important issue that needs to be addressed here in Burbank, the fact that a mere 10 out of the 92 proposed units would be designed for low‐income households makes this something I personally oppose.

If there is more I can do to voice my feelings on the matter, please do let me know.

Best,
Jared Ettinger

Hello,

My name is Bill Nuske and I live in Burbank near the Pickwick Bowling Alley.

I wanted to write you to show my support for this project. I am excited to have more new affordable housing built!

I look forward to hearing updates on the project as it develops.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Amended Pickwick Bowl Project - Objection CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.

Dear Mr. Plambaeck,

I am imploring you to not allow to go forward the construction of 92 townhomes on the Pickwick Bowling Alley property. I am writing this email to voice my objection, frustration, and concerns, and I hope that I will be heard. I am a homeowner living directly across the street from this property. My husband and young daughter and I will be directly negatively impacted by the prolonged construction, noise, pollution, increased traffic and traffic dangers, and loss of equestrian activities in the roadways, particularly along Riverside Drive.

Furthermore, the reason why we moved to Burbank from Sherman Oaks was for the quiet small town feel, which will certainly be lost by this huge housing development. The increased traffic will also have a significant negative impact on the safety of children and adult pedestrians along Riverside Drive.

Our Rancho District is one of the most unique areas in all of Southern California and should be protected and allowed to flourish. This development would alter the Rancho area of Burbank forever by eliminating the historical uniqueness of our Equestrian neighborhood.

While we are all concerned with the lack of affordable housing in our state, this proposed development would forever diminish what makes Burbank such the special place that it is.

Thank you for taking the time to read this from a concerned and worried Burbank citizen! Behnoosh Khalili
