A RESOLUTION O F THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE 2022 GRANT
AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR JAIL FACILITY
VIRTUAL COURT EQUIPMENT , AND FUTURE
AMENDMENTS, ACCEPTING $ 15,132 IN GRANT
FUNDS AND AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 202 2-23
BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING FUNDS
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
A. The Burbank Police Department has been notified that its grant application through the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance - Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program was approved in the amount of $15,132.
B. Grant funds will support the installation of equipment to enhance the provision of virtual court and visitation services for the City’s jail facility.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The City accepts the 2022 JAG grant in the amount of $15,132.
2. The 2022 JAG Grant agreement between the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance and the City of Burbank is hereby approved.
3. The City’s Fiscal Year 2022-23 Annual Budget is amended by appropriating $15,132 in 2022 JAG funding from rev enue account number 121.PD000.48010.1037.24633 (General City Grant s, Police Department General, Other Intergovernmental Revenues, DOJ Block Grant, JAG 2022 Grant) to expenditure account number 121.PD91B. 70011.0000.24633 (General City Grants, Police Department Grants – DOJ, Operating Equipment, JAG 2022 Grant).
4. The Financial Services Director , or her designee, is authorized to make such revisions, changes in summaries, fund amounts, totals, and other portions of the budget document as necessary to reflect and implement the appropriations specified in this resolution.

5. The City Manager , or his designee, is authorized to execute all necessary documents and other matters relating to this grant.
