https://outlook.office365.com/mail/deeplink?popoutv2=1&version=20221209009.08&view=print 2/2 Hi Mr. Fuentes,
I saw the announcement about the upcoming meetings regarding plans for the San Fernando Blvd reconfiguration. I don't know if I can make the public meeting times, so I wanted to send me input.
I really enjoyed the transition of San Fernando into a walking mall during the pandemic. My family and I would regularly walk up and down the block, and it became a strong focus for the Burbank community. While I understand the need in some cases for store-front parking, the benefits of extended restaurant and general seating and the space to let families gather and mingle outweigh the handful of parking spaces currently present. Perhaps a model like I've seen in some European cities would work, where a street like this is open to traffic from midnight to 8 am for business deliveries but pedestrian-only in other hours would work. The planned LA Metro rapid transit system from NoHo to Pasadena would pass right by this area, providing a convenient way for people to get downtown without driving, as well.
In closing, I hope that San Fernando can become more pedestrian-friendly in the heart of downtown.
Thank you for your consideration, and let me know if I can answer any questions, Joe
