A RESOLUTION OF TH E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK APPROVING THE FILING OF AN
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN SPACE
DISTRICT FOR MEASURE A FUNDING FOR THE SANTA
ANITA PLAYL OT P LAYGROUND PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND
ADMINISTER GRANT FUNDS FOR THE SANT A ANITA
PLAYLOT PLAYGROUND PROJECT
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS THAT:
A. The voters of the County of Los Angeles on November 8, 2016 , approved the Safe, Clean Neighborhood Parks, Open Space Beaches, Rivers Protection, and Water Conservation Measure (Measure A); and
B. Measure A also designated the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (the District) to administer said funds; a nd
C. The Dist rict has set forth the necessary policies and procedures governing the application for grant funds under Measure A; and
D. The District’s policies and procedures require the governing body of the City of Burbank to approv e the filing of an application before submission of said application to the District; and
E. Require that said application contain proof of authority to apply for, accept and administer any and all Measure A grant funds ; a nd
F. The City of Burbank will enter into an Agreement with the District to provide funds for acqu isition projects, development projects , and/or programs.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The Council Approves the filing of an application with the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District for Measure A Funds for the above -named project or program ; and
2. Authorizes the City Manager to accept and administer any grant funds received; and

2 3. Certifies that the City of B urbank understands the assurances and will comply with the assurances in the application form; and
4. Appoints the City Manager, or designee, to conduct all negotiations, and to execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, am endments, payment requests and so forth, which may be necessary for the completion of the grant application or acceptance or administration of funds.
