RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK TO AUTHORIZE THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY IN THE
AMOUNT OF $5,400 AND AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-
23 BUDGET BY RECEIVING AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
As part of the California State Library's Lunch at the Library program, a partnership between the California State Library and city and county library systems to increase access to nutrition and enrichment, the City of Burbank was awarded grant funds in the amount of $5,400 to support learning, health, and wellness during the summer months.
B. Acceptance of the grant funds will support the Burbank Public Library's goal of providing services that encourage participants to become lifelong learners.
C. Funds will be allocated to provide learning and enrichment services and programs to low-income children and teens at summer community meal sites.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
The City Council hereby accepts grant funds from the California State Library under the Lunch at the Library Program, and the Library Services Director, or the Director's designee, is authorized to take all actions necessary to receive such funds.
The City's Fiscal Year 2022-23 Adopted Budget is amended by appropriating $5,400 from revenue account number 001.LB000.48010.1017.24830. (General Fund, Library Services, Other Intergovernmental Revenues, California Public Library, Lunch at the Library) to expenditure account number 001.LB02A.62460.0000.24830 (General Fund, Library Public Services, Library Programming, 2023 Lunch at the Library).

The Financial Services Director is authorized to receive and appropriate such funds when provided, and make such other revisions, changes in summaries, fund totals, grand totals, and other revisions to the budget document as necessary to reflect and implement the appropriations specified in this resolution.
