RESOLUTION NO. ________
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF BURBANK AUTHORIZING THE CITY
TREASURER TO ESTABLISH HOUSING AUTHORITY
BANK ACCOUNTS AND SIGN FOR CHECKS.
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS AS FOLLOWS:
A. The City Council serves as ex-officio commissioners for the Housing Authority of the City of Burbank, California (Housing Authority). (See City Resolution No. 17,165; Housing Authority Resolution No. H-4.)
B. Housing Authority Resolution No. H- 4, Section 203, establishes the City Treasurer as the Housing Authority Treasurer (Treasurer) who has care and custody of all monies and securities of the Housing Authority. However, Section 403 also provides that all deeds and contracts executed on behalf of the Housing Authority must be signed by the chairman of the Housing Authority or by an authorized officer or employee.
C. The Housing Authority previously authorized the Treasurer to open bank accounts and sign checks in 1990. (See Housing Authority Resolution No. H-103.)
D. The Treasurer now desires to establish a new bank account to serve the Housing Authority and seeks authorization to establish such bank accounts and sign checks, as may be needed now or as may be needed in the future.
THEREFORE, THE HOUSING AUTHORITY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Treasurer is authorized to establish bank accounts in service of the Housing Authority. Such bank account must be used for the deposit of funds received from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to meet the rent subsidy payments, administrative expenses of the Housing Authority , or any other Housing Authority purpose.
2. The Treasurer is further authorized and designated to sign for all checks in favor of the Housing Authority as may be necessary or convenient for depositing such checks into such bank accounts. The Treasurer may delegate such signature authority through signature cards for the Housing Authority Account in accordance with this resolution and City policy and procedures for such signature cards.

2 3. The Treasurer, or their designee, is further authorized to take all other action as necessary to reflect and implement receiving, disbursing, and depositing of public funds on behalf of the Housing Authority as specified in this resolution.
4. This resolution supersedes all previous resolutions but does not impair or affect the validity of previous warrants issued or c harged under previous bank accounts established by the Housing Authority.
