Partnerships
That WORK
Introducing children to swimming at an
early age enhances self-confidence,
improves academic performance, and
increases physical strength and
coordination.

Just a few blocks away from The Y, Boys &
Girls Club summer participants can walk
to The Y to enjoy summer swimming twice
a week thanks to a partnership between
the organizations made possible through
the Burbank Nonprofit Coalition.

Partnerships
That WORK
Burbank Housing Corporation and Home Again LA
have been community partners for the last 14 years.

Through Burbank Housing Corporation’s Community
Resource Center, Home Again LA provides services
to Burbank Housing Corporation residents such as:
 financial awareness workshops
 resume building
 employment opportunities
 case management
The two agencies worked collaboratively to create
Jerry’s Promise, a transitional housing program solely
meant for clients of Home Again LA.

Partnerships
That WORK
At the Elmwood and Peyton Grismer centers, Burbank
Housing Corporation and Boys & Girls Club of Burbank
and GEV have partnered together to provide afterschool
and full day summer camp programs at no cost for
children who live in Burbank Housing Corporation
communities. Burbank Housing Corporation members
participate in enrichment activities, homework help, arts, athletics, amazing field trips, and special events that the organizations invite one another to.

Burbank Housing Corporation was recently awarded the
State’s Outdoor Equity Grant Program, benefitting
members of both organizations.

Partnerships
That WORK
BTAC and Believe In Big Change have
teamed up to provide groceries to the
Believe In Big Change home. Working
together (instead of individually through
each Believe In Big Change participant),
this partnership and mutual agreement
saves money and time for both
organizations.

Partnerships
That WORK
The Kids' Community Dental Clinic works with many organizations to offer dental screenings, preventative treatments, toothbrush goodie bags, oral health lectures, and access to free and low- cost dental treatments.

The Clinic regularly partners with Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley, BCC Holiday Baskets, Burbank Family Service Agency, Burbank Housing Corporation, BUSD schools, Burbank Parks, Para Los Ninos Burbank Headstart Preschool, National Charity League, Inc. Burbank Chapter, YMCA's Learn Grow Thrive and Social Impact Center programs, and Home Again LA.

The Kids' Community Dental clinic relies on the regular help of mothers and daughters of the National Charity League, Inc.

Burbank Chapter, who make about 14,000 toothbrush goodie bags each year!

Partnerships
That WORK
Working with organizations such as Burbank
Temporary Aid Center, Family Service Agency,
Burbank Community Y, and others, the Lions Club of
Burbank’s KidSight program provides eye screenings
and glasses at no cost to youth in the community.

As a service club, the Lions have also worked with
many other coalition member-partners to support
activities such as Kids’ Community Dental Clinic
screenings and has even written grants to support
organizations such as Family Service Agency’s
emergency pantry.
