A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK DECLARING INTEREST IN THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY REGISTRAR- RECORDER/COUNTY CLERK ’S
IMPLEMENTATION OF A RANKED CHOICE VOTING
SYSTEM AVAILABLE TO ALL MUNICIPALITIES IN LOS
ANGELES COUNTY
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The Council of the City of Burbank declares its interest in considering a citywide transition to Ranked Choice Voting at such time that the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (the County) is ready to implement a certified Ranked Choice Voting system.
2. Should the Council of the City of Burbank approve a transition to ranked choice voting, the Burbank City Clerk is hereby ordered to work with the County of Los Angeles to facilitate Burbank’s future participation in such a system once it becomes available.
