A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK
DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER OR ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER
AS THE AUTHORIZED AGENT FOR THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR’S
OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The City of Burbank is a public agency established under the laws of the State of California.
2. The City of Burbank desires to be eligible to file with the State of California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) for federal financial assistance under Public Law 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988 and/or state financial assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act.
3. In order to be eligible to file with Cal OES for federal and/or state financial assistance, the City of Burbank must designate an Authorized Agent by resolution and submit forms Cal OES 89 and Cal OES 130.
4. This Authorized Agent will provide assurances and agreements required by Cal OES and the Federal Emergency Management Agency for all matters pertaining to state and federal disaster assistance.
5. Cal OES allows the designation of the authorized agency to be effective for all open and future disasters for three years.
6. T he City Manager or Assistant City Manager is designated as Authorized Agent for Cal OES for all open and future disasters for three years from the date this resolution has been adopted.
