28 Transportation Commission Feedback
o Presentation to Burbank Transportation Commission on October 16, 2023.
o Received positive feedback and several suggestions :
• Roadway cross-sections should consider commercial
trucks as there are still industrial and warehouse uses. • Consider design standards that encourage orientation toward the street for easier non-auto access.
• Pedestrian and bicycle connectivity should be considered throughout, but especially Empire Avenue.
29 Complete Streets, Empire Ave
o Currently no planned changes to cross-section .
o Constraints related to width of right -of-way.
o Conditions may change with relocation of airport.
o Staff recommends adding Empire Avenue to the Complete Street analysis.
