A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK APPROVING THE FILING OF AN
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN
SPACE DISTRICT FOR MEASURE A FUNDING FOR THE
CITY OF BURBANK ADAPTIVE SPO RTS EQUIPMENT,
ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS, AND AMENDING THE
ADOPTED FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 BUDGET.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
A, The voters of the County of Los Angeles on November 8, 2016 , approved the Safe, Clean Neighborhood Park s, Open Space Beaches, Rivers Protection, and Water Conservation Measure (Measure A).
B. Measure A designated the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (the District) to administer said funds.
C. The District has set forth the necessary policies and procedures governing the application for grant funds under Measure A.
D. The District’s policies and procedures require the governing body of the City of Burbank to approve of the filing of an application before submission of said application to the District contains certain assurances that City of Burbank must c omply with in order to accept Measure A funding.
E. The City of Burbank will enter into an Agreement with the District to provide funds for acquisition of projects, development projects, and/or programs in compliance with Measure A funding.
F. Upon acceptance of the RPOSD Measure A grant in the amount of $40,000, an amendment to the FY 202 3-2024 Adopted Budget is needed to allo w staff to appropriate $40,000 from revenue account 001.PR000.48010.0000.000000 (General Fund, Parks and Recreation, Other Intergovernmental Revenue, Grant) to expenditure account 001.PR32B.62300.0000.000000 (General Fund, Organized Sports Program , Special Departmental Supplies).
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The foregoing recitals are t rue and correct and incorporated as if restated herein in their entirety.
2. The City Council hereby approves the fil ing of an application with the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District for Measure A Funds for the above-named project or program.

2 3. The City of Burbank understands the assurances and will comply wit h the assurances in the application form for RPOSD Measure A Grant Funds
4. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Servi ces, Marisa Garcia , or her designee, shall conduct all negotiations, and execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so forth, which may be necessary for the completion of projects or programs.
5. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, Marisa Garcia, or her designee, is authorized to accept the Grant Funding on behalf of the City.
6. The City’s Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Adopted Budget is amended by appropriating $40,000 from revenue accou nt 001.PR000.48010.0000.000000 (General Fund, Parks and Recreation, Other Intergovernmental Revenue, Grant) to expenditure account 001.PR32B.62300.0000.000000 (General Fund, Org anized Sports Program, Special Departmental Supplies).
