RESOLUTION NO.________________
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK ADOPTING THE UPDATED RULES AND
REGULATIONS GOVERNING UTILITY SERVICE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
A. In 1927, when the Burbank City Charter was first approved by voters, the municipal utility Rules and Regulations Governing Utility Service was developed to delineate how to administer utility services to Burbank customers.
B. The charter delegates authority to the Burbank Water and Power (BWP) General Manager to administer the rules and regulations through the Burbank Municipal Code under Section Title 8, Chapter 2, Utilities: Section 8- 2-103 (Water) and Section 8-2-203 (Electric).
C. BWP provides new services and administers existing utility services to customers through the rules and regulations. BWP periodically updates the rules and regulations to reflect contemporary practices, legislative mandates, and City Council policy.
D. The proposed updated rules and regulations attached as Exhibit A (the “Rules and Regulations”) are presented in seven parts, and each section includes guidelines for that specific utility operation.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES THAT:
1. The City Council hereby approves and adopts the Rules and Regulations as authorized by the Burbank Municipal Code.

2. The General Manager of BWP, as authorized by the City Charter, is hereby authorized to administer, and implement the Rules and Regulations for utilit y services to Burbank customers.
