A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK APPROVING APPLICATION FOR SPECIFIED
GRANT FUNDS FROM THE BUDGET ACT OF 2023,
19.561(b)(20) MCCAMBRIDGE SWIMMING POOL
RENOVATION, ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS, AND
AMENDMENT TO THE ADOPTED FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025
BUDGET
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
A. The State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility by the Legislature of the State of California for the administration of a grant to the City of Burbank, setting up necessary procedures governing application(s).
B. Said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant’s Governing Body to certify by resolution the approval of project application(s) before submission of said applications to the State.
C. The applicant will enter into a contract with the State of California to complete project(s).
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporated as if restated herein in their entirety.
2. Approves the filing of project application(s) for specified grant project(s).
3. Certifies that said applicant has or will have available, prior to commencement of project work utilizing specified grant funds, sufficient funds, including those provided by this grant, to complete the project.
4. Certifies that the applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the contract shown in this Procedural Guide.
5. Delegates the authority to the Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, or designee to conduct all negotiations, sign and submit all documents, including, but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, and payment requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the project scope(s).
6. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, Marisa Garcia, or her designee, is authorized to accept the Grant Funding on behalf of the City.
7. Agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and guidelines.

8. The City’s Fiscal Year 202 4-2025 Adopted Budget is amended by appropriating $1,500,000 from revenue account 001.PR000.48010.0000.24979 (General Fund, Parks and Recreation, Other Intergovernmental Revenues, McCambridge Pool Replacement) to expenditure account 370.PR21A.70003.0000.24979 (General City Capital Projects Fund, Parks and Recreation Facility Planning and Development, McCambridge Pool Replacement).
