A RESOLUTION OF TH E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURBANK APPROVING THE BLANKET AUTHORITY TO
FILE APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL PARK AND OPEN
SPACE DISTRICT FOR MEASURE A FUNDING FOR
PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK FINDS:
A. On or about November 8, 2016, t he voters of the County of Los Angeles approved the Safe, Clean Neighborhood Parks and Beaches Measure (Measure A).
B. Measure A designated the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (the District) to administer said funds.
C. The District has set forth the necessary policies and procedures governing the application for grant funds under Measure A.
D. The District’s policies and procedures require the governing body of the City of Burbank to approv e of the filing of an application before submission of said application to the Distric t, which contains certain assurances that City of Burbank must comply with in order to accept Measure A funding.
E. The City of Burbank will enter into an Annual Allocation Grant Agreement with the District in order for the District to provide funds for acquisition of projects, development projects, and/or programs in compliance with Measure A funding.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK RESOLVES:
1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the Annual Allocation Grant Agreement and the blanket authority to file applications with the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District for Measure A Funds for projects or programs; and
2. The City of Burbank understands the assurances and will comply with the assurances in the application form for RPOSD Measure A Grant Funds; and

3. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, or designee, is authorized to conduct all negotiations, and execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so forth, which may be necessary for the completion of projects or programs.
