Why are you interested in serving on a board, commission or committee? I have dedicated myself to serving the public through military service and roles in federal law enforcement, national security, risk mitigation, and executive leadership. I am extremely excited about the possibility of contributing my skills and experiences towards enhancing trust, safety, and resilience within my beloved Burbank community with a position on either the Police Commission or the Civil Service Board. My interest in serving on the Burbank Police Commission stems from my belief in the importance of community trust, strong accountability, and thoughtful oversight in policing. As a law enforcement leader, I understand both the operational challenges agencies face and the importance of maintaining public confidence through accountability, engagement, and prioritization of well-being for everyone in our community - officers included. A role on this commission would allow me to give back to Burbank by contributing my knowledge and supporting efforts to maintain effective, community-centered policing. Similarly, I'm interested in serving on the Civil Service Board because I believe deeply in upholding fairness, equality, transparency, and merit in public employment. With my legal education and over 20 years of experience as a public servant, I bring both expertise and a practical understanding of the values and challenges within public institutions. I see this role as an opportunity to help ensure that employment decisions are made with integrity, and to support a system that promotes accountability, trust, and professionalism in local government.

I’ve also been involved in interagency task forces that collaborate with local communities to address safety concerns. I have also volunteered to serve on numerous employee advocacy boards, such as agency Employee Advisory Committees, and held leadership roles as the Chairperson of the NASA OIG Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Advisory Committee and foundational Chair of the Culture, Opportunity, and Engagement Committee. While much of my service has been at the federal level, I’m looking to become more directly involved in local civic engagement here in Burbank.

I hold a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School and bring over 20 years of public service experience in federal law enforcement, national security, and risk management. Currently, I serve as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the NASA Office of Inspector General, where I lead complex criminal investigations involving fraud, misconduct, and threats to public resources. My background includes supervisory roles in internal affairs, infrastructure protection, and personnel security across agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Aviation Administration. I am a Certified Fraud Examiner and a U.S.

These qualifications have equipped me with a deep understanding of justice, accountability, and civil rights—core issues relevant to modern policing. I seek to bring an informed, objective, and community-centered perspective to the Burbank Police Commission to help foster trust and transparency between law enforcement and the public.

What are your goals in serving on this Board/Commission/Committee? My primary goals in serving on the Burbank Police Commission are to help strengthen the relationship between the police department and the community, to contribute to fair and informed oversight of public safety policies, and to support initiatives that improve the effectiveness and integrity of local law enforcement. Drawing from my 20+ years of federal service and leadership experience, I aim to bring a practical, balanced perspective to the Commission's work — one that prioritizes community well-being, officer accountability, and public confidence in policing.
