Bina,
In the case of anƟdumping duƟes, the value varies each year, and since it is enƟrely our responsibility, Hyundai has been covering the full cost.
As for the import tariff rate prior to April 2, 2025, there were no such tariffs under the Korea–U.S. Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA).
Any addiƟonal tariffs imposed under ExecuƟve Order 14257 were not foreseeable and are not reflected in the quoted price.
However, they were proposed in the bid document in the form of a language, not as a reflected cost.

Hello Paul,
We need to know if the quoted prices include not only the anƟdumping but also the tariffs before the ExecuƟve Order 14257 of April 2, 2025. What is the tariff rate prior to April 2, 2025?
Regards, Bina

3 Commerical :
1. Please clarify that the proposed transformer price includes the exisƟng tariff and the anƟdumping fee, or how you wish to handle this ?
A. The current proposed transformer price does not reflect the value of the Tariff; however, the anƟd umping value is included.
Given the significant uncertainty regarding the reciprocal tariff rate as of now, we would like to proceed with including reciprocal tariff language in the Purchase Order, rather than adjusƟng the pricing itself at this point in Ɵme.
Although we have already included tariff language in our submiƩed Commercial Proposal, we would like to update it with the following :
“The proposed price in this quotaƟon/proposal does not include any type of tariffs imposed by the U.S. government on imported goods, including, but not limited to, the reciprocal tariffs or universal tariffs imposed as a result of the ExecuƟve Order 14257 of April 2, 2025. If any type of duƟes or tariffs are assessed and levied on the products supplied by the supplier at the Ɵme of import, the amount of such duƟes or tariff should be borne by the purchaser, regardless of the delivery terms or other contractual provisions set forth in the applicable supply contracts. In the event of any conflict between this clause and the provisions of other contract documents, this clause shall prevail. For avoidance of doubt, however, anƟdumping duƟes are to be borne by the supplier.”
