RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND AWARDING BID TO THE CITY OF BURBANK, CA FOR THE 2022 E450 SUPER DUTY FORD WITH SUPREME BOX TRUCK CARGO HOLD, USED AS THE MOBILE LIBRARY UNIT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $160,000 WHEREAS, the City Council of Marshalltown declared the 2022 E450 Super Duty Ford with Supreme Box Truck Cargo Hold surplus by Resolution 2025-053 on March 24, 2025; and WHEREAS, the City of Marshalltown, Iowa, issued a request for bids for the Mobile Library unit; and
WHEREAS, the following is the bid tabulation of all submitted bids; and
BIDDER AMOUNT
City of Burbank (CA) Public Library $160,000
Sonoma County (CA) Library System $149,999
WHEREAS, after consideration of the bids filed, it was determined by the Council that the bid from City of Burbank Public Library is the highest responsible bid as outlined in the bid document.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA:
Section 1. That the bid from City of Burbank Public Library for the 2022 E450 Super Duty Ford with Supreme Box Truck Cargo Hold (mobile library unit), in the amount of $160,000 is hereby accepted and approved
Section 2. That staff are hereby authorized to approve and execute the sale on behalf of the City of Marshalltown, Iowa
