DEEPL Y ROOTED IN THE CALIFORNIA MARKET
Both Orange Barrel Media and IKE Smart City are deeply rooted in California markets up and down the coast, especially in the Greater Los Angeles area.
OBM first entered the market in 2013 and since that time has developed strong relationships and a premium inventory of assets through both public and private partnerships in Los Angeles, West Hollywood and Culver City, among other places.
We are now the largest OOH operator on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, including the “Sunset Spectacular,” the most innovative digital OOH asset in the country, which paved the way for the City of West Hollywood’s digital signage program.
LOCAL LOS ANGELES TEAM
Our Los Angeles office is located in the famed House on Sunset and is staffed with skilled professionals who are well-versed in all aspects of the platform from entitlement to operations. The office includes team members in the following areas:

Baltimore selected IKE after thoroughly reviewing other options available on the market, and far and away they
have a superior product. They also earned the contract
because of the team’s product knowledge, customer
service, and attention to detail.
LAUREN HAMILTON
FORMER CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, DPOB
BALTIMORE, MD
The City of Baltimore and Downtown Partnership
of Baltimore (DPOB) selected us to deploy kiosks
throughout Downtown Baltimore in 2018. IKE went
live in 2019 with locations spanning the Bromo Arts
District, Charles Center, Federal Hill, Inner Harbor,
Mt. Vernon, and the University of Maryland. We
worked closely with DPOB on content integration,
community messaging, and art programming. IKE
played a key role in the #ArtOfBaltimore campaign,
an initiative led by DPOB in partnership with Maryland
Art Place and the Bromo Arts District.
In April of 2020, the Miami City Commission
approved a contract for IKE Smart City to install up
to 150 kiosks citywide. We worked closely with the
utility company and the City of Miami to identify
creative power sources for the kiosks. These
sources included existing power infrastructure such
as streetlights and traffic control cabinets. Prior
to install, the IKE team secured approvals from
five separate community organizations including
Wynwood, Coconut Grove, and the Downtown
Development Authority.
MIAMI, FL
As the City of Miami continues to evolve into one of the country’s leading technology hubs, we are so excited to add IKE digital kiosks to our rights-of-way to build on our commitment to smart city initiatives and reinforce our role as a progressive innovator.
MAYOR FRANCIS SUAREZ
CITY OF MIAMI
HOUSTON, TX
After releasing an RFP for interactive digital
kiosks, and reviewing competitive submissions,
the City of Houston awarded the project to IKE
Smart City in November of 2020. In May of 2021,
Houston City Council amended their restrictive
sign code and approved a contract with us for
the deployment of kiosks in 14 city districts. We
worked closely with City staff, City Council, and
neighborhood associations to choose kiosk
locations and placed 10% of the network in
historically underserved communities.
The City of Houston has a lot to offer residents and tourists.
The IKE digital kiosks will be an exciting new amenity to help guide people in various directions to enjoy events, restaurants, and so much more.

ATLANTA, GA
Through an RFP process, the City of Atlanta’s
Department of Information Management (AIM)
selected IKE Smart City to install 120 kiosks with 25%
placed in underserved areas. We worked closely
with the City on community initiatives, including
promoting the Mayor’s Summer Y outh Employment
Program and the work of local artists. The IKE
network is live across the City of Atlanta, including
Buckhead, Downtown, Home Park/West Midtown,
Morningside-Lenox Park, Old Fourth Ward, and the
West End.
PROVEN SUCCESS (CONT.)
IKE smart City entered into a franchise agreement
with the City of Berkeley, CA for the deployment of
IKE kiosks. We worked closely with Visit Berkeley,
business improvement districts, and disability
advocacy groups to refine kiosk offerings to meet
the needs of all users. This process led to our
partnership with the National Federation of the
Blind (NFB) to develop a best-in-class nonvisual
access solution for IKE. The NFB also invited us to
present our developed solution to constituents at its
2021 Annual Seminar.
BERKELEY, CA
The IKE team collaborated with our business improvement districts and Visit Berkeley to really understand the city and make sure constituents get the most use out of the
program. We are thrilled to have IKE in Berkeley and look forward to our continued partnership with IKE.
JOHN CANER
CEO, DOWNTOWN BERKELEY ASSOCIATION
As one city with one bright future, the installation of these IKE kiosks across the city demonstrates our commitment
to connectivity. The IKE kiosks are informative, showcase the best our city has to offer to residents and visitors alike and further assist our efforts to move Atlanta forward.
MAYOR ANDRE DICKENS
CITY OF ATLANTA
These intelligent wayfinding kiosks will allow our street- level merchants to integrate digitally into the lives of downtown Tempe visitors. But beyond wayfinding,
these kiosks will provide public transit updates, job
boards, and social connections throughout downtown.
KATE BORDERS
FORMER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DOWNTOWN TEMPE AUTHORITY
TEMPE, AZ
Downtown Tempe Authority, the City’s largest BID,
chose IKE to replace static wayfinding throughout
its boundaries, and to facilitate environmental
initiatives with comprehensive air quality data. After
launch, City Councilmember Lauren Kuby connected
our team with Arizona State University scientists
studying a correlation between air pollution and
haboobs - violent and oppressive windstorms that
blow in damaging sand from the desert. Today, air
quality data based on scientific research is a key
feature displayed on all IKE kiosks.

CITY LEADERS LOVE IKE
JOHN LEONARD
DIRECTOR OF BUDGET AND BOARD MEETING MANAGEMENT,
LOS ANGELES COUNTY
This partnership is just the kind of forward-thinking way of doing business the City of West Hollywood prides itself on. It is a great example of how the public and private sectors can work together to benefit the entire community. Not only does this partnership foster the arts in our city, but it also financially supports programs critical to our seniors and at-risk community members.
The IKE program provided a much-needed platform for
Houston-based artists to consider the impact of their work in public space. IKE Smart City simultaneously raised the visibility of their practices while making art accessible to a wide range of communities in Houston. Not to mention, the team was professional, fun, and easy to work with.
ALLISON GLENN
SENIOR CURATOR, PUBLIC ART FUND AND CO-CURATOR,
COUNTERPUBLIC 2023
The technology, amenities and services provided by the IKE kiosks have been received with open arms by our business community and we are confident that the platform will support our commercial business districts. We’re very excited to join this public/private partnership with IKE to improve our smart city infrastructure in Berkeley.
KIERON SLAUGHTER
FORMER CHIEF STRATEGIST, ECONOMIC INNOVATION,
CITY OF BERKELEY
MANNY GONZALEZ
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR,
WYNWOOD BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
Wynwood is the first of many neighborhoods in Miami to
install IKE Smart City kiosks, a city-wide initiative to help pedestrians better navigate around the city and support local businesses. There are over 400 businesses within the Wynwood Arts District alone, many of them small and locally owned, so the BID is hopeful this new partnership will be beneficial for both the businesses and visitors.
It’s not just about how these kiosks will serve us today. They’re also a visible sign of our commitment towards technology and innovation, not just for those who are already digitally connected but also those who are not. Each kiosk is equipped with free public access Wi-Fi and will connect people with the many social services, jobs, and skill training options available throughout our city.
FORMER MAYOR SYLVESTER TURNER
CITY OF HOUSTON
©2025 IKE SMART CITY | CITY OF BURBANK DIGITAL WAYFINDING PROPOSAL 10 The power of the IKE platform is that it’s flexible, in that it can be used to meet the needs of any city, individual or urban center.
It definitely activates our public space. It’s an incredible tool for mobility information. What’s more, it’s really fun.
