Describe any qualifications, experience, and education, as well as any technical or professional background you may have relative to the duties of this position
I have extensive experience with community services from both my professional and personal life. I have experience with planning and executing community services and recreational events for the past 18 years. Most recently as part of our Leadership Burbank journey, I partnered with the City of Burbank’s Adaptive Sports Program. I helped to project manage our class project, “Play Without Limits.” We successfully raised $90,000 for adaptive equipment including adaptive hiking wheelchairs and para fencing wheelchairs and equipment. Additionally, we also raised visibility for the amazing work that the Adaptive Sport’s Program is doing. As a result of this successful class project, we were able to expand the number of individuals who can participate in the Parks and Recreation Adaptive Sports Program. The adaptive hiking wheelchairs are the first ones in the City of Burbank and the beautiful hiking trails will be accessible to adaptive hikers for the first time. It was truly a pleasure and honor to partner with Diego and his team at the Parks & Recreation department. Another example is from my professional career at Monument Consulting. I helped to plan and execute industry conferences including content for presentations and post conference recreational events. An additional example is when I worked at Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Department. My focus was planning and executing community benefit educational initiatives. My responsibilities included the below: • Project manage multiple projects and ensure that deadlines are met. • Build relationships and partnerships with organizations that have similar missions. • Find and interview new talent. • Delegate internal resources and staff to various projects as needed to ensure that we hit deliverables on time. • Manage health educators and deploy resources where they are needed. • Plan, organize, and direct staff trainings. • Serve as a consultant and creative advisor in the development and creation of new programs. • Promote and market new programs within the Southern California territory. • Help create documentation and content for the shows and workshops that we were performing in. • Conduct research to find data and statistics to support program content. • Perform in the educational theater shows. • Perform in kids nutrition workshops in the classrooms. • Facilitate parent workshops to deliver educational messages to parents (in both English and Spanish). • Educate parents on the message of the shows so that they are integrated in the community health solutions with their children.
What are your goals in serving on this Board/Commission/Committee? My goal is to assist the Park, Recreation and Community Services Board to make improvements and come up with new ideas to make best use of the public areas in the city. I will bring helpful information and best practices advisory to the table. I want to help make recommendations for the best use of resources and funds in order to have the most positive impact on the community. I have helped many Fortune 1000 companies to create roadmaps for the future of their organization. These plans have resulted in organizations evolving to have more streamlined processes, better accessibility, and better management of resources.

Sustainable Burbank Commission
Describe any qualifications, experience, and education, as well as any technical or professional background you may have relative to the duties of this position.
While I don't have any formal education or experience in environmental sustainability, I am incredibly passionate about this issue and have been all my life. Even in the 15 years I've lived in the Los Angeles area, I've experienced rising temperatures, severe droughts, and massive wildfires, along with their many lingering effects on our environment. Now, as the mother of a 2-year-old, I feel that the need to combat climate change is more urgent than ever.
What are your goals in serving on this Board/Commission/Committee? My main goals in serving on the Sustainable Burbank Commission would be to help advocate for policies that combat climate change on a city level and encourage my neighbors to participate in collective action. I would also love to utilize my skills as a writer and an artist to help the Commission and the city highlight actions they're already taking in this area and educate the public about ways we can all work together to make our city sustainable for generations to come.

My main qualification in this area is that I love our city's parks and am the mother of a toddler who LOVES our city's parks. I already appreciated all the work the Parks Board and Parks Department does to create great spaces for Burbank's residents to enjoy, but since becoming a mom, that appreciation has grown tenfold. My family and I are frequent visitors to our city's parks and active participants in the many excellent recreation activities our city offers.

Describe any qualifications, experience, and education, as well as any technical or professional background you may have relative to the duties of this position.
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I specialize in geriatric care and work closely with residents of Savant of Burbank East and West, two local assisted living facilities. I regularly assist patients with community ambulation, helping them safely access nearby parks and public spaces. This hands-on experience has given me a clear understanding of the physical and environmental barriers many seniors face, reinforcing my commitment to making Burbank’s recreational areas more accessible and inclusive. I also bring technical expertise in wheelchair management and adaptive sports, which I hope to contribute to city events such as the Burbank Adaptive Sports Expo. In addition to my clinical work, I operate my own small business, which has sharpened my skills in planning, budgeting, and maximizing impact with limited resources—essential qualities for board service. My leadership development through the Burbank RISE's civic leadership program and Harvard’s Public Leadership Credential has further prepared me to engage strategically with stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to policies that enhance Burbank’s parks, programs, and community services for all residents.
What are your goals in serving on this Board/Commission/Committee? My goal is to improve accessibility to parks and public spaces for all Burbank residents, especially older adults and individuals with mobility challenges. I want to help ensure our community spaces are safe, inclusive, and thoughtfully designed so everyone—regardless of age or ability—can enjoy them. Also, with the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics approaching, I also see this as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to ensure Burbank is well- prepared for increased regional activity and can proudly showcase its public places and programming.

Describe any qualifications, experience, and education, as well as any technical or professional background you may have relative to the duties of this position.
I am a Certified Fund Raising Executive and nonprofit leader with nearly two decades of experience driving conservation, education, and community initiatives across California and beyond. As Director of Development for the Catalina Island Conservancy, I lead a ten- member team raising over $13 million annually to support a 42,000-acre protected landscape through sustainable infrastructure, habitat restoration, responsible recreation, lifelong learning, and public engagement. I oversee major donor relations, grant funding, and serve as the lead strategist for a significant capital campaign currently underway much of which is tied to environmental priorities like wildfire resilience, species protection, habitat restoration, environmental education, and sustainable recreation. My work and passions directly align with the Commission’s focus and goals. I have led donor-funded initiatives to expand conservation and sustainability efforts, to support interpretive education on environmental challenges, and implement low-impact development while increasing access and recreational opportunities for all. I hold an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a BA from Tulane University, and have completed training in nonprofit operations, fundraising, and contract/vendor oversight. My experience partnering with municipal agencies, scientists, and stakeholders gives me the practical and strategic insight to contribute meaningfully to the Commission’s policy, outreach, and funding efforts.
What are your goals in serving on this Board/Commission/Committee? My goal in serving on the Sustainable Burbank Commission is to help advance practical, high-impact solutions that make Burbank more environmentally resilient, livable, and ready for a future that will be impacted by climate change. I want to contribute my experience in conservation, education, and recreation to support the City of Burbank's Sustainability Action Plan and help to engage the community in environmental sustainability efforts. I am particularly interested in helping Burbank implement sustainability initiatives that not only meet state and federal mandates but also build long-term community health and equity. I aim to support the Commission’s work by connecting its vision to possible funding opportunities, stakeholder engagement, and practical implementation strategies that result in visible, lasting change.
