Dog Parks

• The City Attorney was asked to review whether there is an enforcement mechanism in the City’s Code that would allow staff to fine individuals who leave their dog unattended at a dog park

Field Use

The Council and Commission discussed the following items:
• The history of how field time was previously divided among the different users including:
o Preference to the club/team/league by residential per capita (it was noted that different teams gave back field time if they didn’t need it) o Validated user groups are prioritized
o Prioritize a sport during its primary season
• The field space needs to be maximized by utilizing a combination of turfing options and lighting
• The Council and Commission both stressed the importance of allowing all youth the opportunity to play and prioritizing field space for youth that live in Burlingame

Pickleball

The Council and Commission discussed the following items:
• Potential locations for permanent pickleball courts including Bayside Park, Washington Park, and the new neighborhood on Rollins Road
• The number of complaints staff and the Commission have received regarding pickleball in the city
• Pickleball members in the community created a Facebook group to better communicate with one another

Other Topics
• Mayor Colson will arrange a walk-about tour of the planned new neighborhood on Rollins Road in the fall to brainstorm how best to create open green spaces
