She stated that the selected individual would serve through the December 16, 2024, meeting.

Mayor Colson explained that the following seven candidates completed applications for the position:

1. Hadia Khoury

2. Nirmala Bandrapalli

3. Stephanie Lee

4. Linda Larson

5. Kimberly Kilgo

6. Desiree Thayer

7. John Giere

This is the order that the candidates were interviewed as determined by a drawing of numbers.

Mayor Colson stated that as outlined in the staff report, the following two questions would be asked of the candidates:

1. Please provide us a brief summary of your background and how this experience is relevant to the interim City Council position.

2. Please tell us why you are applying for this position and what you hope to accomplish in the next few months.

Mayor Colson stated that because the Council was giving each candidate 15 minutes, she wanted to add a third question: What is your favorite project or item that the Council has worked on in the past few years. Council concurred.

The candidates were then dismissed from the Council Chambers and brought in one by one to answer questions.
