OPENING MATTERS
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Weintraub called the Regular meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Alicia Weintraub, Mayor Pro Tem Peter Kraut, and Councilmembers Edward Albrecht, James Bozajian and David Shapiro Staff: City Manager Kindon Meik; Assistant City Manager Scott Trujillo; Deputy City Manager Michael McConville; City Clerk Lisa Pope; City Attorney Pam Lee; Chief Financial Officer Ron Ahlers; Community Development Director Michael Klein; Public Works Director Curtis Castle; and Sheriff's Deputy Mason De Matteo
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Boy Scout Troop 127 led the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION
Mayor Pro Tem Kraut moved and Councilmember Shapiro seconded a motion to approve the agenda. The motion carried unanimously.
ANNOUNCEMENTS/INTRODUCTIONS
Councilmember Bozajian noted the 25th Anniversary of the Agoura Hills Calabasas Community Center.
Councilmember Shapiro thanked those fighting and working on the Franklin Fire.
He congratulated the recently elected LVUSD Board Members and thanked Jill Gaines.
Mayor Weintraub expressed her gratitude for those working on the Franklin Fire, particularly City staff. She congratulated Alan Lazar, new School Board Member.

The following recognized outgoing Mayor Alicia Weintraub:

Haylynn Conrad, Malibu Councilmember, and Marianne Riggins, Mayor Pro Tem, thanked the City of Calabasas for opening its doors to the City of Malibu Emergency Operations Center ( EOC).
Mayor Weintraub discussed her term as Mayor; successes; and upcoming goals for her next term.
The Council recognized Mayor Alicia Weintraub and thanked her for her service.
2. Oath of Office to Newly Elected Councilmembers — Peter Kraut and Alicia Weintraub
Ernie Kraut administered the Oath of Office to Peter Kraut.
Noah and Lauren Weintraub administered the Oath of Office to Alicia Weintraub.
Councilmember Bozajian pointed out that the City had never cancelled its election.

NEW BUSINESS - REORGANIZATION
The following items were heard concurrently:

MOTION
Councilmember Bozajian moved and Councilmember Shapiro seconded a motion to appoint Peter Kraut as Mayor. The motion carried unanimously.
Leslie Kraut administered the Oath of Office to Peter Kraut.
MOTION
Councilmember Albrecht moved and Councilmember Weintraub seconded a motion to appoint James Bozajian as Mayor Pro Tem. The motion carried unanimously.
Judge Andrew Cooper, Los Angeles Superior Court, administered the Oath of Office to James Bozajian.
Mayor Kraut discussed successes and upcoming goals.
ADJOURN
Mayor Kraut ajourned the meeting at 8:24 p.m.
