Adopt Budget Amendment Resolution for Fund #233 -
Second Street (All American Canal) Bridge Improvements. ================================================================== Recommendation:
It is recommended that the City Council of the City of Calexico adopt the attached Budget Amendment Resolution for Fund #233 - Second Street (All American Canal) Bridge Improvements.
Background:
On January 21, 2022, the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Diving Team notified the City that Second Street (All American Canal) Bridge No. 58C-0104 was nonoperational. The diving inspectors conducted an assessment and determined that critical damage to the structure was identified and recommended that the bridge be closed immediately until it is repaired.
Discussion & Analysis:
Public Works staff recommends that the City Council of the City of Calexico adopt the attached Budget Amendment Resolution in order to proceed with the following expenditures:
Phase I:
• Site inspection - observe and document current conditions Phase II:
• Preparation of plans, spec's and estimate for the proposed repair, which at this time, it is assumed to be both abutments AGENDA ITEM

BUDGET AMENDMENT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CALEXICO AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022
WHEREAS, the Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 was adopted by Resolution No. 2021-24 of the City Council on June 23, 2021; and
WHEREAS ,the City Council has authorized the amendment of the Final Budget, in accordance with proper governmental accounting and financial reporting practices; and NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Calexico hereby resolves and authorizes the following action(s)
