================== ======
Recommendation:

The recommendation from city staff is to adopt Resolution No. _ a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico approving an Intent to Collaborate with any interested individuals or entities in an efforts to bring potential housing developments and infrastructure projects to the City of Calexico.

Background:

In June 2022, Mr. Jeff Lubin approached city staff requesting to be joint applicants on potential grant applications to aid in the development of new residential and infrastructure projects within the City of Calexico. After review of the request, City Staff determined it was beneficial to make this collaborative opportunity available to any interested individual or entity.

Discussion and Analysis:

This staff report focuses on items requiring City Council direction over the coming months related to this proposed collaborative effort between administrative staff, City Manager's Office, the City Council and any interested individual or entity. Through this collaborative effort, the city will have the ability to oversee the formulation of proposed projects, potentially apply for grants and provide an authentic engagement process for the community that is inclusive, dialogue-centric, culturally considerate, and transparent during the collaborative effort to bring new residential and infrastructure projects to the city.
