Recommendation:
Adopt Budget Amendment Resolution for Fund No. 255 - American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to purchase one (1) pressure washer and one (1) pressure washer surface for the cleaning of downtown alleys and sidewalks.
Background:
On March 16, 2022, the City Council of the City of Calexico adopted the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) - Plan B which allocated $2,000,000 to Downtown Rehabilitation.
Discussion & Analysis:
Once a month, Public Works Department - Street Division staff and Republic Services pressure wash and clean the downtown alleys. The Public Works Department - Street Division currently has a pressure washer that is over ten (10) years old and is no longer working correctly; therefore, City staff is requesting that the City Council of the City of Calexico allocate $25,000.00 of from ARPA funds to purchase a new pressure washer and a pressure washer surface that will assist Streets Division staff with the cleaning of alleys and sidewalks.
Please note that the Public Works Department - Streets Division will be following Ordinance No. 1196 - City of Calexico Purchasing Policy and Procedures for the purchase of the above-mentioned equipment. Any AGENDA funding not used on the above-mentioned equipment will be brought ITEM back to City Council for consideration on other ARPA projects. 8 Fiscal Impact:

BUDGET AMENDMENT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CALEXICO AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT
CALEXICO TO THE FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-2023
WHEREAS, the Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 was adopted by Resolution No. 2022-48 of the City Council on August 10, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the amendment of the Final Budget, in accordance with proper governmental accounting and financial reporting practices; and NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Calexico hereby resolves and authorizes the following action(s)
