For the past years, members of the Calexico Baja Runners, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Korean War Veterans, Vietnam War Veterans, and Desert Storm- Iran/Afghanistan War Veterans, have participated in honor guard ceremonies honoring veterans of our country that have passed away, specifically veterans that have made Calexico their home. Calexico Baja Runners in conjunction with the mentioned veteran organizations and groups, honor our fallen comrades each Memorial and Veterans Day at the Calexico Cemetery in Calexico, CA by placing an American flag on each veterans' tomb, and holding a remembrance ceremony.

On 11/11/2022, Veterans Day, Calexico Veterans in conjunction with the Calexico Baja Runners Club will be cooking breakfast for those that attend and assist in posting the flags on the veteran's grave sites. On an average, we host approximately 25 to 40 participants. This is in preparation for our ceremony at 10am.
