9 Discussion & Analysis:
GEN-21-12527 gran activity period was scheduled for October 1, 2021 - September 30,2022. However, due to administrative delays caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, activity period was revised to November 1, 2021 - October 31, 2022. Funds became available in February 2022 after the City finally received the California Arts Council's check for the GEN- 21-12527 award. Final grant report is due on November 30, 2022.

The scope of work is for the City of Calexico to utilize funding from GEN-21-12527 and GEN- 22-17278 for eligible expenses related to general operations of the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center.
For this reason, City staff is recommending that the City Council adopt a resolution of the City of Calexico ratifying the submittal of the Arts and Cultural Organizations General Operating Relief 2021 Grant Application in the amount of $19,000.00 and the 2022 Grant Application in the amount of $28,500.00 and authorizing the City Manager to executive agreements and/or any documentation pertaining to the California Arts Council Arts and Cultural Organizations General Operating Relief Grant.
