"I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see if together." Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Martin Luther King commemorative committee is requesting financial assistance from the city of Calexico to keeping Dr. King's Legacy alive in the Imperial Valley. The Martin Luther King Jr.

Stone of Hope award ceremony is the preeminent multicultural award event in our County.

Financial assistance of $500 from the City of Calexico, would help support our Martin Luther King Jr. program. Martin Luther King Jr. program funds support students with scholarship funds, provide emergency support for community members in need, support food security programs and offset the expenses of the annual Stone of Hope awards.

Your support for the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Committee program would be much appreciated. The Imperial Valley Social Justice Committee (IVSJC) administers the MLK program.

Please make your assistance check payable to IVSJC. If you have any questions, please contact me.
