STATEMENT OF MOTIVES:
FIRST. - Since 1976 Ensenada has been a sister city of the city of Riverside, strengthening ties and working together for several years now.
SECOND. - In order to unify forces to carry out numerous projects that lead to a • greater development of Social, Cultural, Sports, Tourist and Economic relations, between the city of Calexico, California, United States of America and the Municipality of Ensenada, Baja California; it is necessary to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood to promote the potential of our city; achieving foster bonds of solidarity between cities for mutual benefits.
THIRD. - On December 9; 2021, Mayor Armando Ayala Robles participated in the Installation of the Committee of Sister Cities, with the aim that cities or towns from different geographical and political areas foster human contact and cultural links.
FOURTH. - On December 14, 2022, in an extraordinary session, the Ensenada council approved the Twinning with the Municipality of Benito Juárez, Cancún, Quintana Roo.
