Recommendation:
Discussion and potential action regarding Imperial County Transportation Commission's (ICT) Calexico Microtransit public transportation service to be provided to the City of Calexico Staff recommends the waiving of Business License fee, as ICT is a government entity that provides affordable public transportation to the residents of the City of Calexico and its visitors.
Background:
The City of Calexico was notified that the ICT's Microtransit/Calexico On Demand service would be made available to Calexico residents effective January 9, 2023. The Microtransit service is a shared shuttle service that provides transportation through smartphones applications to anywhere around the city. The Microtransit service is provided Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm. Cost is $2.00 for each ride.
The Microtransit service is provided by Calexico On Demand, a shared ride service sponsored by the State of California.
ICTC applied for City of Calexico business license and provided all the required documents. AGENDA

Being a government entity and providing a service to the residents of Calexico, waiving the business license fee of $424.00 would be supporting future collaboration with ICTC services for the community of Calexico.
Discussion & Analysis:
The amount of the business license fee consists of $424.00, which is broken down as follows:
