"Hanoving Fous Gorrano for 28 Goars of lorets"
WHEREAS, the Calexico City Council believes that it is important that we honor and acknowledge those people who contribute to the citizens of City of Calexico; and WHEREAS, the Calexico City Council fere today expresses its appreciation to Jesus Serrano and honor him for fis distinguished 28-year career with the City of Calexico and dedicated service to the residents of Calexico; and
WHEREAS, Jesus began fis career with the City of Calexico in 1994 where fe field the following positions throughout his years of service:
1994 Police Officer
2000 Sergeant
2006 Cieutenant
2022 Interim Police Chief
WHEREAS, in 2003-2004, Jesus took, Leave to serve his country with the V.S. Marines during Operations "Enduring Freedom" and "Iraqi Freedom"; and
WHEREAS, after giving the City of Calexico 28 years of dedicated service, Jesus decided to retire on June 20, 2023, to spend time with fis family and pursue new endeavors; and WHEREAS, the City of Calexico wishes to fonor Jesus Serrano for fis distinguished service to the citizens of this great City and commemorate fis many years of service to the City of Calexico and its citizens.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Calexico wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Jesus Serrano for fis loyalty to the City of Calexico and wish fim much happiness as he begins this exciting new chapter in fis life.
