SUBJECT: Appointment by City Council of One Resident Commissioner to the Calexico Housing Authority Board

Recommendation:
Council to make the appointment of a Resident Commissioner to the Calexico Housing Authority Board.
Background:
On May 4, 2023, the two-year commission for Mr. Mario Acevedo expired. The resident commissioner position is appointed every two years by the Calexico City Council.
Discussion & Analysis:
Qualified applicants for this position must be a Public Housing Resident. The Commission vacancy was advertised in the city website, Camarena Library, Calexico Recreation Department, City Hall bulletin boards and by the Housing Authority of the City of Calexico. The following application was received:
