Essential Workers Relief Program
Funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The City of Calexico has allocated American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, from the federalCARES Act, to assist essential workers who worked during the pandemic from March 17, 2020 - November 8, 2021, and will bear the greatest health risks because of their service in critical sectors. The city’s program will provide grants of up to $500 to eligible households following the eligibility criteria established by the City of Calexico.
ELIGIBILITY
In order to be eligible for ARPA funds, applicants must meet of the following requirements:
1. Applicants must be residents of the City of Calexico
2. Applicants must provide proof of work during the pandemic period of March 17, 2020 - November 8, 2021.
3. Applicants must be 18 years old (minimum)
4. There will be no more than two (2) vouchers per household. If two families live in the same house, only one voucher will be distributed to each eligible family.
Applicants will be eligible for grants of up to $500 on a first-come, first-served basis and available until all funds are exhausted. All applicants must submit a complete application and provide copies of the requested information.
