SISTERERHOOD AGREEMENT OF THE CITIES OF ARIZPE, OF THE STATE OF
SONORA OF THE UNITED MEXICAN STATES AND THE CITY OF CALEXICO, OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
The City of Arizpe, of the State of Sonora of the United Mexican States and the City of Calexico, of the State of California of the United States of America, hereinafter referred to as "the Parties"; CONSIDERING the interest in deepening the ties of friendship and cooperation in the fields of tourism and the deeply rooted Hispanic historical heritage of California.
RECOGNIZING that international cooperation is one of the factors that favorably affects the cultural identity shared by their respective communities; EXPRESSING its decision to deepen its collaborative relationships through an appropriate legal framework; and by virtue of California celebrating the 250th anniversary of the expeditionary epic of Colonel Juan Bautista de Anza, who opened the land route from Sonora to California in the 18th century, where this neighborhood, now Calexico, became an obligatory break for the long caravan of colonizers from San Francisco and Monterey and all from Sinaloa and Sonora and whose surnames demonstrate the population contribution of New Spain and Mexico to the greatness of the United States.
ARTICLE 1
We manifest
The objective of this Agreement is to formalize the sisterhood between the City of Arizpe, of the State of Sonora of the United Mexican States and the City of Calexico, of the State of California of the United States of America, to strengthen the agreement and understanding between the two cities and the institutions of their respective territorial areas, in order to intensify joint efforts, and contribute to the exchange of experiences and the implementation of common activities.
ARTICLE 11
Areas of Collaboration
To achieve the objective of this Agreement, the Parties undertake to develop specially directed cooperation actions, but not limited to the following areas:
a) Commerce. Economic, Industrial and Agricultural Development. Joint promotion of communities, organization of artisanal and governmental meetings to encourage cultural, agricultural and livestock exchange;
b) Culture. Promotion and dissemination of artistic expressions and regional traditions; c) Tourism. Promotion and dissemination of events related to tourism, recreation and leisure that take place in the region;
d) Education. Promote collaboration and exchange agreements between educational and research centers of both communities;
c) Sport. Encourage, disseminate and promote sporting and recreational events and meetings aimed at strengthening relations between sister cities; f) Social Assistance. Promote and hold joint events that support social programs that benefit the most vulnerable sectors of both communities;
g) Environment. Establish cooperation and dialogue mechanisms for the preservation of the environment and the solution of problems that affect both communities; and; h) Any other area of cooperation that result and the Parties agree to.
ARTICLE 111
Cooperation Modalities
The Parties agree that the cooperation actions referred to in this Agreement will be carried out through the following modalities:
a) Promotion and dissemination;
b) Exchange of business, agro industrial and livestock missions; c) Exchange of information, documentation and materials; d) Organization of fairs, seminars and conferences;
e) Joint studies and research;
f) Exchange of technicians, specialists and professionals in various areas; g) Training and training of human resources;
h) Cultural, sports and artistic exchange;
i) Any other that the Parties agree to.
Notwithstanding this agreement, each party may formulate additional proposals, as they may arise during the execution of cooperation activities.
This agreement will come into force from the date of its signature and will be valid indefinitely.
This agreement may be modified by mutual consent of the Parties, formalized through written communications, specifying the date of its entry into force.
Either Party may, at any time, terminate this agreement, by written notice to the other, thirty (30) days in advance.

ACUERDO DE HERMANDAD DE LAS CIUDADES DE ARIZPE, DEL ESTADO DE
SONORA DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS Y LA CIUDAD DE
CALEXICO, DEL ESTADO DE CALIFORNIA DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMERICA.
La Ciudad de Arizpe, del Estado de Sonora de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos y la Ciudad de Calexico, del Estado de California de los Estados Unidos de América, en Adelante denominados " las Partes";
CONSIDERANDO el interés en profundizar los lazos de amistad y cooperación en los rubros de turismo y la herencia raigambre histórica hispánica de california.
RECONOCIENDO que la cooperación internacional es uno de los factores que incide favorablemente en la identidad cultural que comparten sus respectivas comunidades; MANIFESTANDO su decisión de profundizar sus relaciones de colaboración a través de un marco jurídico adecuado; y en virtud de celebrar California el 250 miversario de la epopeya expedicionaria del Coronel Juan Bautista de Anza, quien apertura la ruta terrestre de Sonora a California en el siglo XVIII, donde esta vecindad, ahora Calexico, se constituyó en pausa obligada de la larga caravana de colonizadores de San Francisco y Monterey y todos procedentes de Sinaloa y Sonora y cuyos apellidos demuestran la contribución poblacional de la Nueva España y México a la grandeza de Estados Unidos.
ARTICULO 1
Manifestamos
El presente Acuerdo tiene como objetivo formalizar el hermanamiento entre la Ciudad de Arizpe, del Estado d Sonora de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos y la Ciudad de Calexico, del Estado de Califo ia de los Estados Unidos de América, para fortalecer el acuerdo y el entendimiento entrelambas ciudades y las instituciones de sus respectivas áreas territoriales, a fin de intensificar los esfuerzos conjuntos, y contribuir al intercambio de experiencias y a la realización de actividades comunes.
ARTICULO 11
Áreas de colaboración
cri acanza el acio de presente Acuerdo, las Partes se comprometen a desarolla s. pero no limitadas a las siguientes áreas
a) Comercio. Desarrollo económico, Industrial y Agropecuario. promoción conjunta de las comunidades, organización de encuentros artesanales y gubernamentales para incentivar el intercambio cultural, agropecuario у ganadero;
b) Cultura. Promoción y difusión de las expresiones artísticas y tradiciones regionales; c) Turismo. Promoción y difusión de eventos relacionados con la rama turística, recreación y esparcimiento que se lleven a cabo en la región;
d) Educación. Fomentar convenios de colaboración e intercambio entre los centros educativos y de investigación de ambas comunidades;
e) Deporte. Fomentar, difundir y promover eventos y encuentros deportivos y recreativos encaminados al estrechamiento de relaciones entre las ciudades hermanas; f) Asistencia Social. Promover y realizar eventos de fonna conjunta en los que se apoyen programas sociales que beneficien a los sectores más vulnerables de ambas comunidades; g) Medio Ambiente. Establecer mecanismos de cooperación y dialogo para la preservación del medio ambiente y la solución de problemática que afecta a ambas comunidades; y; h) Cualquier otra área de cooperación que resulte y las Partes convengan.
ARTICULO 111
Modalidades de Cooperación
Las Partes acuerdan que las acciones de cooperación a que se refiere el presente Acuerdo se llevaran a cabo a través de las modalidades siguientes:
a) Promoción y difusión;
b) Intercambio de misiones empresariales, agroindustriales y ganaderas; c) Intercambio de información, documentación y materiales; d) Organización de ferias, seminarios y congresos;
e) Estudios e investigaciones conjuntas;
f) Intercambio de técnicos, especialistas y profesionales en diversas áreas; g) Formación y capacitación de recursos humanos;
h) Intercambio cultural, deportivo y artístico;
1) Cualquier otra que las Partes convengan.
No obstante, el presente acuerdo, cada parte podrá formular propuestas adicionales, ya que pueden surgir durante la ejecución de las actividades de cooperación.
El presente acuerdo entrará en vigor a partir de la fecha de su firma y tendrá una vigencia indefinida.
El presente acuerdo podrá ser modificado por mutuo consentimiento de las Partes, formalizado a través de comunicaciones escritas, en las que se especifique la fecha de su entrada en vigor.
Cualquiera de las Partes podrá, en cualquier momento, dar por terminado el presente acuerdo, mediante notificación escrita dirigida a la otra, con treinta (30) días de antelación.
Firmado en la ciudad de Calexico, California, el tres de abril de dos mil veinticuatro.
