Recommendation:
Authorize Acting City Manager to sign and file Notice of Completion for Renovations to Calexico Fire Station No. 2.
Background:
On March 6, 2024, the City Council of the City of Calexico awarded the bid proposal for the Renovations to Calexico Fire Station No. 2 to A&N Quality Builders in the amount of $966,559.00 and authorized the City Manager to approve any future change orders not-to-exceed $48,328.00 (5% of A&N Quality Builders Base Bid) as Per City Ordinance No. 1218.
On April 16, 2024, the City Manager approved Change Order No. 1 in the amount of -$24,560.00.
On May 8, 2024, the City Council of the City of Calexico approved Change Order No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the amount of $315,284.00.
On June 5, 2024, the City Council of the City of Calexico approved Change Order No. 6 through 12 in the amount of $247,927.00.
On August 21, 2024, the City Council of the City of Calexico approved Change Order No. 13 in the amount of $15,505.00.
On September 4, 2024, the City Council of the City of Calexico approved Change Order No. 14 in the amount of $7,066.00.
On October 22, 2024, the City Council of the City of Calexico approved Change Order No. 15 and 16 in the amount of $24,956.00 bring A&N Quality Builders new contract amount to $1,577,297.00.
Discussion and Analysis:
On October 31, 2024, A&N Quality Builders completed the renovations to Calexico Fire Station No. 2. City staff is recommending that the City Council of the City of Calexico authorize the Acting City Manager to sign and file Notice of Completion of said project.

No fiscal impact at this time.
