CALEXICO
for 23 Yours of Parales
WHEREAS, the Calexico City Council believes that it is important that we honor and acknowledge those people who contribute to the citizens of the City of Calexico; and, WHEREAS, the Calexico City Council here today expresses its appreciation to Joe "Buck" Buchanan and honor him for his distinguished 23-year career with the City of Calexico and dedicated service to the residents of Calexico; and,
WHEREAS, Buck began his career with the City of Calexico in 2002 where he held the following positions throughout his years of service:
2002 - Automotive Attendant
2006 - Mechanic I
2017 - Mechanic II
2017 - Interim Supervisor - Fleet Maintenance
2018 - Supervisor - Fleet Maintenance
WHEREAS, after giving the City of Calexico 23 years of dedicated service, Buck decided to retire on March 31, 2025 to spend time with his family; and
WHEREAS, the City of Calexico wishes to honor Joe "Buck" Buchanan for his dedication and distinguished service to the citizens of this great City and commemorate his many years of service.
NOW IHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Calexico wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Joe "Buck" Buchanan for his loyalty to the City of Calexico and wish him much happiness as he begins this exciting new chapter in fis life.
