DISCUSSION AND POTENTIAL ACTION ITEMS
ITEM NO. 5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALEXICO, ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY FOR THE CALEXICO COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2005-1 (HEARTHSTONE), WILL CONSIDER ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF SPECIAL TAXES OF SUCH DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-26, EXCLUDING THE ASSESSMENT FOR SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $170,352.00.
City Attorney Campos stated that under the FPPC regulation No. 18703 on the annual levy assessments there is no conflict of interest for a council member or mayor to vote on the item.
The following person(s) provided public comments to the council: Martha Leticia Cota, Yolanda Cunningham, Maritza Hurtado, Joong Kim, Jose Vargas and Jose Hinojosa.
Motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Legaspi, seconded by Council Member Calderon to approve Item No. 5 and levy the payment of the bond and levy the special services taxes. Motion passed with the following vote to wit:
AYES: Legaspi, Marquez, Calderon
NOES: Nuricumbo
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Tylenda
