Recommendation:
Authorize City Manager to issue Purchase Order to Sierra Energy Solutions in the amount of $36,624.58 to purchase Sport Lights for Nosotros Park Multi-Purpose Field.
Background:
On August 25, 2023, the City Council of the City of Calexico adopted Budget Amendment Resolution No. 2023-50 for Fund No. 255 - American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) in the amount of $500,000.00 for Park Improvements at Nostros Park and Baseball Field.
Discussion and Analysis:
The Public Works Dept. has received several complaints from the community and sport leagues about safety and the lack of lighting at Nostros Park multi-purpose field. City staff requested price quotes for the purchase of thirty (30) sports lights. The Public Works Dept. received the following price quotes:
