Recommendation:
City Council to make the appointment of two (2) Residential Commissioners to the Calexico Housing Authority Board.
Background:
The two (2) positions of Residential Commissioner to the Calexico Housing Authority Board became vacant due to the expiration of the terms for Mr. Mario Acevedo on July 4, 2025 and Ms. Gloria Tovar on October 31, 2025. The City Council as a whole needs to fill these positions. The positions were advertised on the City website, City Hall, social media pages and at the Calexico Housing Authority.
Discussion and Analysis:
Qualified applicants for this position must be residents of the City of Calexico. The following applications were received:
