That the City Council:
1. Ratify the acceptance of the California Arts Council Grant Award GEN-25-25337 in the amount of $12,600;
2. Adopt a Budget Amendment Resolution appropriating the funds awarded Background:
The Recreation Department has maintained a strong record of success with the California Arts Council's General Operating Support program, securing annual or biannual awards since 2021 to sustain local arts programming and cultural access for Calexico residents.
Discussion and Analysis:
The City of Calexico has been awarded $12,600 for the performance period of October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.
Funds may be used to support a variety of eligible expenses related to the operation of the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center, operating costs, supplies, artist stipends, and community programming.

WHEREAS, the Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-26 was adopted by Resolution No. 2025-24 of the City Council on June 30, 2025; and
