CDBG funds to build a soccer field on Par 3. California City has been potentially allotted approximately $70,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. These funds, while limited are enough to allow staff to complete smaller projects. There is a significant need to expand our sports areas, allowing the public more room to play sports like soccer and football.

RECOMMENDATION:
Council to discuss, take public testimony and direct staff to continue with the grant application process.
