Events
The New Years Holiday brought a large number of OHV enthusiasts to California City’s OHV riding areas. A total of 315 RV visible groups. The next major influx will be Presidents Day Weekend.
Operations
Staff will continue with ground operations by cleaning up the desert, maintaining roads and trails, and upkeeping amenities. Park Aids will continue to assist visitors as they stop at Borax Bill Park and assist with maintaining facilities.
Manager Updates
The OHMVR Division Grant Program will open for new applications for the G24 grant cycle on January 8, 2024. California City will apply consistently with the program. G22 grants have been successfully closed out.
Finance Report
For the month of December, OHV sales totaled $19,958.00 . These numbers are actuals and reflect only amounts received within each month. Please refer to Monthly Permit Sales report for FY totals. *Not all proceeds are deposited in the same month.
**OHV sales are deposited to specific OHV Permit Program GL revenue codes #29-3992 through #29-3998. Please refer to the financial statement for details. ***Some merchandise was purchased by staff at a discounted rate. All sales for merchandise are allocated to GL revenue code 29-3691.
