9. COUNCIL REQUESTS AND IDEAS FOR DISCUSSION
Councilmember Gift reiterated the hours and address of the cooling center. She also acknowledged the Fire Fighters for their work in serving the community.
Councilmember Williams expressed appreciation to Mr. John Gleazer for bringing up the topic of electric shuttle buses in Calistoga.
Councilmember Kraus spoke with regard to the cooling center air conditioner to make sure it is in proper operational order.
Vice Mayor Lopez-Ortega asked that the Flag of Mexico be hoisted on September 16, 2022, in the morning.
Mayor Canning noted the electric bus issue was seriously investigated by the NVTA and noted the logistics and mobility of the shuttle caused it to be unpractical. However, the need to have one will stay in the forefront. Regarding the Napa County Fairgrounds, we hope to have something to report to the public at the next Regular Council Meeting on September 20th . A special meeting is tentatively scheduled for September 13th. Please check on your neighbors in this time of extreme heat.
G.)ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Canning adjourned the meeting at 7:43 p.m.
