There were concerns about the ridership of local buses that hasn't recovered from COVID-19. #10 Bus, from Napa to Calistoga, is most used. NVTA is looking for ways to increase ridership.
Mayor Williams discussed the NVTA meeting and the need for more ridership. He attended the Calistoga Community Schools Initiative which helps to improve the educational opportunities in Calistoga. He noted the school has students who are looking for volunteer opportunities. He also attended the Napa County League of Governments (NCLG) where he heard a report regarding about the economic state of Napa County. Last report is on the New Mayors and Councilmembers Academy in Sacramento. CEQA was a topic that came up often and remember it is a tool, not a decision maker.
