Councilmember Gift attended a Flood Control Meeting where closed session items were discussed; no reportable action. She also attended a Climate Action Committee and is grateful for our staff and committee chair's presentation. Vice Mayor Gift attended the FAC committee meeting as a liaison, and it was a reminder to be thoughtful when putting items on the agendas that bring us together and move us forward as opposed to causing division.
Mayor Williams attended FAC as well, and to Vice Mayor Gift's point, he plans to ask the committees to more regularly present to Council. He requested staff and Council look into our formula business ordinance to possibly be revised to better meet our needs.
