NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF
CAMARILLO CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the City will be holding a community workshop to discuss the Climate Action Plan and Safety Element Update, which are currently under preparation by the City. The workshop will be held at 6:00 p.m. on October 20, 2022, at the Camarillo Library located at 4101 Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA 93010. You may join the meeting via Zoom. See below for detailed instructions about participating in the meeting via Zoom. This meeting is not a public hearing. No actions approving or denying the projects will be made at this meeting.
Due to the possibilit y a majority of the Camarillo City Council and/or Camarillo Planning Commission members may a ttend this Project meeting, which will include subject matter jurisdiction of the City of Camarillo, notice of a special meeting is hereby given pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.

Climate Action Plan (CAP) and Safety Element Update
Community Workshop
The City is currently working on a Climate Action Plan (CAP), in alignment with the City Council’s goal of ensuring our community strengthens its response to environmental changes. A CAP is a structured approach for measuring and planning for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and other climate related impacts facing the community.
Concurrently, the City is updating the General Plan Safety Element, which establishes goals, objectives, and policies to reduce the potential risks due to natural and man -made hazards, including fires, floods, droughts, earthquakes, landslides, and climate change.
The community workshop is op en to the public and will give the public the opportunity to provide input in the preparation of the plans. The community workshop is not a public hearing. No actions approving or denying the project will be made at this workshop.
