BACKGROUND
Policy 11.07, pertaining to Use of City Vehicles, was adopted in 1989 and was last amended in 2006.
DISCUSSION
After a review of the city’s Personnel Rules and State Regulations it is suggested that amendments be made to update the policy, help provide clarity for staff’s use of pool vehicles and to ensure the policy is in alignment with current operational needs.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
CEQA DETERMINATIONS
City staff has determined, in accordance with Section 15061(b)(3) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, that updating Policy 11.07, Use of City Vehicles is not subject to CEQA review because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that updating Policy 11.07, Use of City Vehicles may have a significant effect on the environment.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the proposed amended changes for Policy 11.07 pertaining to Use of City Vehicles.
