Subject: 2024 City Council and Board Regular Meeting Schedule
BACKGROUND
Each year the City Council adopts a meeting schedule approving regularly scheduled meetings. An annual meeting calendar facilitates public participation in City Council and Board meetings by providing a consistent and predictable schedule of meetings, at times which are convenient for the public to attend. This consistency allows for full compliance with the Brown Act to meet public noticing deadlines and helps ensure transparency in city governance.
DISCUSSION
The proposed meeting schedule includes the City Council’s regular meeting dates set on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, with the following exceptions:
August 14, 2024 Meeting Cancelled
November 27, 2024 Meeting Cancelled
December 25, 2024 Meeting Cancelled
Due to the upcoming City Council Chambers Remodel Project, an approved Capital Improvement project, all regular City meetings will be relocated to the Camarillo Public Library Community Room following the closure of the Council Chambers, which is anticipated to begin in early 2024.
Prior to the closure, all agendas, meeting-related public announcements, public hearing notices, CityScene Newsletters, Senior Newsletter, and the City website will provide ample notice to the community of the relocated meetings. All meetings are open to the public and the Library Community Room will continue to provide accommodation for

public comment opportunities. Meetings will continue to be streamed live on the City’s YouTube Channel but will have a delayed broadcast on the City’s Government Channels.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the 2024 City Council and Board Regular Meeting Schedule.
