A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMARILLO DESIGNATING THE CAMARILLO PUBLIC
LIBRARY COMMUNITY ROOM AS A TEMPORARY
LOCATION FOR ALL PUBLIC CITY AND BOARD
MEETINGS
The City Council of the City of Camarillo resolves as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council finds and declares as follows:
A. The Camarillo Municipal Code, Chapter 2.08, states that the designated meeting place of the City Council shall be 601 Carmen Drive, Camarillo, California, or such other place as the Council may designate by resolution; and B. The City Council approved a Capital Improvement Project (Project) to remodel the Camarillo Council Chambers to upgrade technology, improve ADA accessibility, and enhance security, with the Project commencing in February 2024; and C. A new temporary meeting location is necessary to ensure no break in City business and to secure a temporary facility able to accommodate all City and Board public meetings; and
D. The City Council designates the Camarillo Public Library Community Room located at 4101 Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA 93010 as the temporary meeting location for all public City and Board meetings; and
E. The temporary meeting location will continue to allow for full public access, provide for ADA accessibility and will include opportunities for public comment as provided by law.
SECTION 2:This Resolution shall only remain in effect until the City Manager determines the Project is complete, at which time meetings will resume in the Camarillo Council Chamber.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
