Re: SAFER - Withdrawal of Appeal
Costco Wholesale Project (CPD-226M(5), CUP-422)
AGENDA ITEM M (February 14, 2024)
To the City of Camarillo City Council, City Clerk Buxkemper, and Planning Manager Lee,
This letter is submitted on behalf of Supporters Alliance for Environmental Responsibility (“SAFER”) to withdraw SAFER’s appeal (filed December 14, 2023) of the Planning Commission’s December 5, 2023 decision to approve the Costco Wholesale Project (CPD-226M(5), CUP-422) (“Project”) and to adopt the Project’s Second Subsequent Mitigated Negative Declaration. SAFER’s appeal is scheduled to be heard as Agenda Item M at the City Council’s February 14, 2024 meeting.
SAFER is pleased to inform you that we have resolved our environmental concerns through negotiations and an environmental agreement with the developer of the Project. As a result, SAFER withdraws its appeal and fully supports the Project.
Sincerely,
Brian B. Flynn
